Plagiarism
Accounting Az Zukhruf Journal upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and adheres to strict ethical publication practices. The following policy is implemented to prevent and address plagiarism:
1. Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of using another person’s work as your own without proper attribution. This includes, but is not limited to, copying text, data, images, or ideas from other sources without appropriate permission or citation.
2. Plagiarism Detection
All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software to identify similarities with previously published works. Manuscripts showing a high level of similarity with other works will be further reviewed by the editorial team.
3. Plagiarism Tolerance Level
The journal enforces a strict plagiarism tolerance level. Typically, a similarity index above 20% is considered unacceptable and may result in outright rejection or a request for significant revisions.
4. Actions Against Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected during the initial stages (before publication), the manuscript will be returned to the authors for correction or may be rejected depending on the severity of the violation. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be retracted from the journal, and sanctions will be imposed on the authors and their affiliated institutions according to the journal's policy.
5. Author Responsibilities
Authors must ensure that all sources used in their manuscript are properly cited and that the submitted work is original. Authors are required to submit a statement of originality confirming that the manuscript is free from plagiarism.
6. Editorial Rights
The editor has the right to retract published articles if significant plagiarism is found, even after the article has been published. The editor may also report cases of plagiarism to relevant institutions or authorities as part of ethical procedures.
This policy aims to maintain the quality and originality of articles published in the Accounting Az Zukhruf Journal and to promote academic integrity among authors and researchers.
